eep...I think I maybe in trouble. I believe I choose a home based on my mood, the time of year, or my level of warmth. homes are not like clothing...you cannot change them based on how you are feeling at that exact moment. I can't have open and airy one minute and small, warm and cozy the next. I am thinking that rather than trying to have a cohesive home I may need to change it up a bit. I need a room for each moment or mood...my poor husband is going to go completely nuts!
at this particualar moment I am looking for a comfortable, big-hug of a cottage...

so soothing I can barely handle it. actually, I don't think I would ever tire of living this way...problem solved. xo mrs. french

oh so rich and warm. a perfect autumn cottage. i can smell chestnuts and warm milk and tea. a lovely balance of crisp whites and raw woods. i do love your home finds!
and happiest birthday (belated). my due date was yesterday! still awaiting this little one. seems like a lovely time of year to celebrate. enjoy.
Happy Belated Birthday!!!
I think I will take your lead on making your own birthday very special. Everyone else is bound to follow :)
Oh and a big huuuge thumbs up on this happy place. I could most definitely settle here.
oh, so lovely!! i hope to live in a beautifully cottage like this one day.
absolutely love your blog!
Oh, I've always loved this place. It was featured on Cottage Living magazine when it was still in print (sigh) and the edges of the pages that showcase this little beauty are all frayed from constant perusing. It's a small place, but the layout is genius and perfectly proportionate. So glad to find it here, dear T.
Hope you had a most fabulous birthday.

yup cottages are so cute...
I love the way those white shelves and dishes cut across the windows in the dining room. It's like clouds are on the INSIDE of the house and so lovely against that blue, blue sky...
Ah....yes. problem solved. I will meet you there. with my whole fam. and dog. do you think Mr. T will mind?
:) xo
