Happier?

I believe I have come a very long way since my super-ultra materialistic 20's.  Since the arrival of my beloved B I no longer believe that "things" can make someone happier.  It is the little moments like watching B and Mr. French sharing a conversation over coconut pancakes in the morning that truly make my knees turn to mush.  However I think that "things" can inspire a mood which can provoke happiness.  Case in point:

This little gem was featured in Cottage Living this month.  I anxiously attacked this this months issue as I always do and tada!  I was instantly tranported to to my new home (which may be a problem because the architect/owners of this home painstakingly remodeled it and may be a bit attached due to all the blood, sweat and tears that went into this process).  Anyway, the lovely article did not make me happy, but it did evoke a serene, dreamy moment.  So it may be...

that contribute directly to my happiness.  But it is the...

that take me on a blissful, little vacation.

Hey there in Portland:) I agree with you about things not making you happier. In fact when I see people with tons of stuff and other clutter I feel sad for them because they're trying to fill hole up some where with material goods. Nothing can beat watching my 2 yr old play drums or give me unexpected kisses:)
That cottage is wonderful. It's obviously not here in Bend, because it'd be covered in dust no matter how many times the photo crew tried to clean it!
Have a great week:)
